[Motion Capture Seminar Recap] Humanoid LIVE DEMO Seminar

We recently hosted the Motion Capture & Humanoid LIVE DEMO Free Seminar at the XEROmotion Motion Capture Studio.

Around 20 attendees joined us, from customers already running motion capture systems to researchers and engineers interested in robot learning data. Together, we explored the full process from motion capture data collection to humanoid robot learning, using real equipment.

Program 01 | XEROmotion Cameras and Software in Action

In Part 1, we gave a live demonstration of the entire process of capturing accurate motion data with XEROmotion optical motion capture cameras and software.

  • Camera Setup – Positioning and configuring cameras for the capture space

  • Calibration – The correction process that determines capture accuracy

  • Marker Tracking – Real-time marker recognition and motion tracking

  • Data Capture – Collecting motion data ready for training and content production

Walking through each setup step on real equipment, we also shared common on-site issues and practical tips for improving accuracy.

Compatible Device Demos

We also demonstrated compatibility with a range of motion capture devices, including Xsens, MoA, Manus, and Diver-X.

Attendees saw firsthand how existing equipment can be integrated, and watched finger movements being captured with hand-tracking gloves. The demo of collecting hand data, essential for robot hand control and fine manipulation learning, drew particularly strong interest.

Program 02 | Motion Capture Data for Robot Learning

In Part 2, we used XERO Humanoid, a data integration platform for humanoid robot learning, to demonstrate how motion capture data is used to train robots.

  • Human Motion Capture – Precisely recording human movement with motion capture

  • Learning Data Generation – Converting captured data into a format robots can learn from

  • Robot Training – Training humanoid robots with the generated data

After the demos, we held an open Q&A session. Attendees raised practical questions about integrating existing equipment and setting up data collection environments for robot learning.

Thank you to everyone who showed interest in and attended this seminar. Thanks to you, we were able to share a wide range of use cases in motion capture and humanoid robot learning and wrap up the event successfully.

XEROmotion will continue to create opportunities to share motion capture technology and hands-on expertise.

If you missed the seminar, or have questions about adopting or integrating motion capture equipment or collecting robot learning data, feel free to reach out anytime.
