Virtual Production

The Core of Virtual Production

Virtual Production using Camera Tracking is a core technology that seamlessly bridges the real and virtual worlds by tracking physical camera movements in real-time and synchronizing them with a virtual camera.

This technology plays a pivotal role in overcoming physical spatial limitations, particularly in environments utilizing LED wall-based real-time compositing systems, AR/VR sets, and game engine workflows.

The success of virtual production hinges on precision. Through CineTrack, we deliver cinema-grade high-precision camera tracking, ensuring that even the most subtle motions from the actual shoot are perfectly synchronized within the virtual world.

 

Simultaneously, our HELIX system integrates directly with Unreal Engine and Unity in real-time, allowing creators to instantly visualize their artistic intent without the need for complex conversion processes.

Workflow

The process begins by capturing actual camera zoom/focus values and timecode information via Lens Encoders and Genlock systems, while characterizing optical properties using a calibration board. This collected data is then integrated with precise position data tracked by the Camera Tracker and transmitted to the HELIX Sync Station.

Through the HELIX software, data quality is monitored before being sent to the HELIX Unreal Plugin. Finally, the plugin applies the lens and tracking information to the Unreal Engine in real-time,

creating a seamless composite of the LED wall's virtual background and the physical shooting environment.
