Softionics has established a precision motion capture environment using XEROmotion’s optical motion capture cameras, HALO s13. Following the installation, XEROmotion provided hands-on system operation training for Softionics’ engineers.

Motion Capture System for Contactless Sensor Validation

Softionics is a deep-tech startup developing contactless sensing technology that recognizes hand movements without cameras or LiDAR.

To validate the accuracy of their sensor technology, Softionics required reliable reference data showing the actual movement of hands and objects. XEROmotion configured a motion capture system by arranging multiple HALO s13 cameras around an office space, creating an optimized capture volume for hand motion tracking.

  • Multiple cameras were positioned along windows and walls to capture the central tracking area from various angles.

  • A tripod-based installation enabled a flexible motion capture setup without requiring a dedicated studio.

  • Marker-based motion capture data from HALO s13 is used as reference data to compare and validate Softionics’ sensor measurements.

Motion Capture Setup and System Operation Training

After completing the motion capture system installation, XEROmotion provided hands-on training for Softionics’ engineers, including camera calibration procedures and HELIX software operation.

With this motion capture setup, Softionics can independently configure the capture environment, collect tracking data, and validate sensor performance for new experiments.
