Kongju National University’s Department of Architecture has implemented XEROmotion’s HALO S13 optical mocap system for concrete structure experiments. Along with the system installation, XEROmotion provided hands-on training to help researchers operate and utilize the system effectively.

Optical Mocap for Precise Structural Deformation Measurement
In the structural testing laboratory at Kongju National University, researchers conduct experiments to evaluate the performance of concrete structures by applying loads to concrete beams.
To analyze structural behavior, it is essential to accurately measure how the test specimen changes during loading. Reflective markers are attached to the surface of the concrete beam, and the optical mocap system captures the movement of these markers to provide precise displacement data.

HALO S13 Optical Mocap System for Engineering Research
XEROmotion configured an optical motion capture environment by installing multiple HALO S13 cameras around the test area.
The system was designed to capture structural movements throughout the entire experiment while maintaining accurate tracking performance.
Multiple HALO S13 cameras capture marker position changes from different angles, enabling precise deformation measurement during each loading stage.
A flexible tripod-based setup allows easy installation even in laboratory environments with limited space and complex equipment layouts.
Real-time tracking data enables researchers to monitor captured movements and optimize the experimental setup when needed.

Hands-On Training for Researchers and Students
After installation, XEROmotion provided practical training on camera calibration and HELIX software operation for laboratory researchers and students.
With the HALO S13 optical mocap system, the laboratory can independently configure measurement environments for new experiments and utilize accurate deformation data for structural research.
